Stainless Steel Cable System

Three Items make up the Stainless Steel Cable System:

• Track - Strong aluminium in anodized or white finish. It screws to the wall at picture rail height. Available in 2 and 3m lengths.
• Hangers - Hangers are made of stainless steel cable which offers exceptional strength. The diameter of the cable is only 1.2mm so the system is unobtrusive.
• Adjustable Hooks - The adjustable hooks fit onto the Stainless Steel cable. They slide up or down the cable and lock in place either by tightening with an allen key (standard hook) or by using the button (push-button hook).

The stainless steel cable hangers are designed so they can be fitted into the track or removed at any point along its length rather than sliding into the end of the track. This means less need to disturb other works when rehanging an area.

As the Clear Tape and Stainless Steel cable systems use the same track it's possible to use the two in combination.

How strong is it?
Recommended weight on one hanger is 30kg (66lb). You may hang several pictures on one hanger. Recommended weight on one hook is 20kg (44lb).

Clear Tape System

Three items make up the Clear Tape System:

• Track - Strong aluminium in anodized or white finish. It screws to the wall at picture rail height. Available in 2 and 3m lengths.
• Hangers - Clear tape hangs from the track and supports the pictures. The hangers slide easily in the track.
• Adjustable Hooks - The hooks fit onto the hanging tape. They slide up or down and lock in place using the key provided in the pack.

How does the tape fit into the track?
The hanger pack contains 30m of tape plus 10 locking capsules. You simply cut off the length you need, fit the end into the locking capsule and slide the capsule into the track. The capsule is designed to lock the tape in place - in fact, the more weight you hang on the tape, the harder it grips!

Why are the hangers in tape form?
Two Reasons: -

Firstly, the tape gives a wide area of grip so the hook won't slip.

Secondly, the tape won't twist - so the hook always points to the front ready to accept the picture. The clear tape takes on the colour of the wall, so it's unobtrusive.

How strong is it?
Recommended weight on the hanger is 15kg (33lb). You may hang several pictures on one hanger.
Recommended weight on one hook is 10kg (22lb).

STANDARD HOOKS

Our standard hook has been around since ’91 and will be for a long time yet.
It’s currently being revamped with a new long-life anodised finish and improved quality due to the recent installation of two purpose-built automatic machines. But to meet other needs we’ve introduced two new hooks.

NEW PUSH-BUTTON HOOK (for Stainless Steel hangers only)

Tool-free operation – you simply push the button on top to slide the hook to a new position. Release the button for a vice-like grip which will hold up to 20 kgs.
It’s designed so that the wire on your frame sits right against the stainless cable. This means the hook sits vertically instead of leaning over at an angle as some others do. The hook itself is slim enough to fit into small ‘D’ rings. We believe it’s the best designed hook available anywhere.

The Gallery Lighting System…a new and better way to light pictures.

A lighting system that really brings art to life.

Low voltage light wands lock onto the same track that hangs your art. A flat power cable fitted into the top section of the track carries 12 volt current along the track from a transformer.

The light wands simply lock onto the track at any point and light up.

Because this system places the lamps much closer to the art, low power 20 watt lamps are all you need.
