Jen Hung Jen Hung came to NZ in 1998 from northern Taiwan where she had studied art history at University. Her love of the impressionist and art nouveau styles have influenced her own designs in stone, most notably Pounamu, Greenstone. Living and working on the West Coast with her husband and business partner, Gary Beamish, Jen furthered her studies at Tai Poutini Polytech in Jade and hard stone carving, 2004. Jen finds inspiration in music, embroidery, textures, and the organic elements surrounding us. She feels completely ‘at home’ in her new chosen craft. It feels it is exactly the right thing for her to be doing, she says.
