Margaret Scott Margaret works primarily in Acrylics, though she loves mixed media and creating textural works. Born in the Taranaki area where she resides today, Margaret spent many years teaching High School. A partner in the family dairy farm for 35 years, Margaret and her husband brought up 4 children. She never put down her brushes during this time, though her work reflected very heavily on her everyday experiences on the farm, and living not far from the coast. Margaret favours our iconic shoreline images, the forest and the farm. She has a sense of humour which she regularly injects into her paintings. This is particularly evident in her farm paintings. With a new studio built beside her new home on the Taranaki coast, Margaret now has the facilities to teach students. Her small gallery is open for viewers venturing that way.
