Karl Ellwood

Encouraged by his artist father to paint, from the tender age of three, Karl has never stopped.

Diagnosed with Dyslexia at around age 7, Karl found the usual challenges in school associated with the disorder. He has, however, gone on to achieve in a  life of creative pursuits in careers such as Chef, Cheesemaker (Puhoi), Art-Photographer and Landscape Designer/gardener. He is presently one of the 4 gardeners at Knightsbridge Retirement Village. A job he finds immensely satisfying.

Having spent most of his childhood in the UK, Karl Graduated  with a Certificate of Art following 2 years at Langley College. He returned to NZ at the age of 21. Now 36 and many further art courses later, he has been selling his art through galleries for the last four years.
