Jayeta is a full
time Taranaki artist. After many years of school teaching, she decided to
follow her dream of painting . Most of Jayeta's works are representational,
but contemporary, and depict landscapes and natural icons such as plants and
shells. Her canvases are frequently segmented and include some stylised
forms. She lives in New Plymouth with her husband, three children and an
assortment of pets. Many of Jayeta's paintings are inspired by the wild West
Coast of New Zealand.
