David Poole Exploration is the key concept of David’s work. A New Zealander, David moved to the Uk in 1970 to study at the Hamstead School of Art in London. His training in both Art and Interior Decorating, has both equipped and encouraged him to move from the traditional to the contemporary. He is a well known Hibiscus Coast artist and committed to art in the community. At present, the theme of faces and figures is being explored in his work. The gentle elongations and the subtle distortions of the body features trigger sensations of alienation and isolation as well as touching on the concept of inner strength and spirituality.
