Jimu Grimmett

Born in Scotland, and a furniture maker for 24 years, Jimu studied with Masters of the craft in Britain, Japan, and the USA.

He combines the highest standards of skill and finish with clean, contemporary style.

His award winning work has been exhibited and sold internationally. Notable commissions include gift boxes for the Prime Minister’s official Japan tour and a presentations box for the Dalai Lama.

Jimu’s work pulls from many different cultures, especially the Pacific Islands and Japan.
