Jo Mallinger A graphic designer by training, this single mother of 9 year old twin girls indulges her love of ‘50’s – 70’s Pop and Op-Art. Jo’s ‘Apple Series’ celebrates the design, colour and typography of the era, in bright and charming acrylics on canvas. Jo has a great sense of humour and this is evident in the ‘apple as light bulb’ painting. Her deconstruction and destruction of the apple in its various forms shows her skill and powers of observation.
